The idea to form a special group focused Green Mimico arose in March 2024 when planning the Mimico Homeowner Energy Efficiency Workshop.
Subsequent discussion in August 2024 lead to the conclusion that creation of this group was a good idea. Thus, a kickoff meeting was held in October 2024.
In August 2025 the MRA board of directors appointed Green Mimico as a Standing Committee of the MRA with MRA director and treasurer Michael Schwanzer as the chair of the committee.
